Welcome to the first issue of volume 0. The first issue of an online theological journal that will evolve over a year to it's final form. This new form will provide a needed independent look at HOCNA, The Orthodox Faith and Orthodox Theology. From a review of resources, on the internet, most sources have serious problems and contradictions. In the name of ecumenism and modernism, most theological resources operate in this vein. The contradiction is the fundamental philosophy of ecumenism - the all "truths" are equal. This means that the struggles of a monk on the new Mt. Athos (soon to be Mt. Athosland - complete with rollercoasters, a water park and cool monks hats to buy) is equal to the ritual sex abuse practiced by the Hindus on the Deletes. The gang rape of a viking slave girl (whose screams guide the soul of the viking to Valhala) is equal to the peaceful liturgy of the souls (held after the death of a Christian).
In this tidy arrangement - even Christains are divided. There is a separate church for Greeks, a church for Russians, a church for the latins, etc. . Under this philosophy there is no fundamental difference between the violence of the Kali cult, the peaceful Buddhists, Wiccan (Witches), Satanists, Islamists, Jews, etc. . All these "truths" are equal - all are right, and consequently - there is no wrong. Editorial note(s): This site is now a journal publication of The Byzantine & Antiquities Studies Institute - HOCNA & The Orthodox (http://hocna.byzantine-antiquities.org).
