Things change as life is lived in the living house of the Lord. However, this does not necessarily mean the end - just the end of what was. This can be seen in the study of the Church's history. Often what is seen as the end is not, but the begining of something new as the Church lives with us. The changes can be seen in the end of Christian persecution in the Roman Empire and the beginning of the Byzantine Church. It's seen again at the end of the Christian Roman Empire and it's beginning in Russia - and again, when it ends in Russia and begins in North America. Now, once again the Church, with the erosion of ecumenism and the microsynods that dot the Church's landscape, looks like it's nearing the end. However, there are options (and new directions) within the theology of the Church that a new begining is possible. This is the new foundation that is being created here and at the House of St. Nektarios (http://st-nektarios.org).
