EditorialWeek of:Dec. 10th, 2007 : - In recent discussions, I noticed so much confusion surrounding the Christian church. Simply look at all the denominations. Then there are non-Christian religions, anti-Christian religions and atheistic religions (also with many denominations). However, it is possible to navigate through this seeming mess. Navigation is both the key and a hint to mapping out religion. In seeing that even the so called, areligious, are really religious (just not theistic) we can split all religions into two primary categories; 1) theistic and 2) atheistic. Historically, the theists are significantly older than the atheists (thousands of years older). Atheism only had its beginning in 1900. Theism is as old as man. All religions are defined in their view (or beliefs) of truth. Morality emerges from these truths. As such, each religion has itsown morality. While there may be commonalities between moralities, none of the moralities are equal. Each religion views its morality as supreme. Even under the so called neo-ecumenism - which is really a post-moderist religion based on the concept of God (not the reality). The common morality of neo-ecumenism is really a amoral (pan-morality) of post-modernism (Atheism/Humanism/Secularism). As well, given the post-modernist fundamental of neo-ecumenism the concept of God, includes all gods. It bring post-modernism to the religious history of man. Given the main categories of Theism and Atheism, we can further divide Theism into two subcategories; (a) polytheim and (b) monotheism. Since Atheisms elminates reality, there is no point to even concider it further (a more comprehensive proof will be published soon) - because atheism and atheists are not real, they are just concepts. This means we can discard the entire category of Atheism as real, and just continue under Theism. The first category {a. polytheism} was assumed to be first, by the anthropologists of the European school of thought - so we will look at it first. The reason it's assumed to be first, is because it's seen in the most primitive of man. Primitive man was view by the analog of the tribe. Seen in early exploration in Africa, India and the Americas. The tribes of people were viewed as closest to early primitive man - and were studied as such. Tribes were essential family based with a chief and a shaman. The shaman was the tribe (and consequently) the chief's link to the spirits of nature. Each spirit was treated as a god, and with many spirits (and subsequently gods) in nature, hence the term polytheism. Looking tribal religion we see both good spirits and bad spirits - gods and demons. Although all spirits need to be respected and served. Moving further along in history from primitive to civilized, we see no real change in polytheism. The fundamental difference between primitive and civilized is the number of subcults. In primitive tribal polytheism, the tribe is primary and singular. However, in civilized polytheism, while there is the central cult of the leader (Pharaoh, Caesar, Emperor etc), there are also many subcults. Civilization can be viewed as the merging of many tribes into a single entity. Civilization can be seen into two phases city state and empire. The city state is the merging of many tribes into a single sovereign entity. Consequently the merging of many city states forms much of the empires in history. The merging need not be peaceful, and as such sovereign self defense was needed. Of course, the best defense is a good offense - this produced a god of war. Found in every city state and empire! War was not just a mechanical event, but a religious occurance; providential (good omen) if won, and bad omen if lost. Consequently, the theology of war detailed how rebelions from within, along with tribal raid from without, should be dealt with. Typically, the vanquished (and offenders of the central cult) were sold into slavery or executed. However, the advent of Christianity changes that - briefly. Thus far, we have two primary categories; (1) Theism and (2) Atheism. (2) is discarded as a concept and not real - leaving (1). Under Theism, we have two subcategories; (a) Polytheism and (b) monotheism. Polytheism (a) has subcategories (i) tribal, (ii) city-state, (iii) empire. Moving from (i) to (iii) there is a move from one cult to many. This leaves the monotheism (b) subcategory to map. Under here there are only two subcategories; (a) Before Christ and (b) After Christ. Judaism and Islam claim to be under (a) but there is more than a 300 year gap between (a) and their current appearance. Before 1000 AD denominations under (a) were defined by various Typikon. Original typikon were set by Apostles of Christ. All typikon set by the Apostles are considered ecumenical (common to the House of the Lord). While all other typikon were considered non-ecumenical. All non-ecumenical typikon can be considered to be Aristotelian Typikon. Aristotelian typikon are attempts to order (logically) the fundamental nature of God. The nature of God in the original Typikon (the ecumenical typikon) was anti-logical. 1000 AD is the demarcation point where monotheism (b) splits into two subcategories; (i) the Original Typikon and (ii) the Aristotelian Typikon. The Aristotelian Typikon was Rome (Catholic) and The Original Typikon was Constantinople (Orthodox). With the advent of the Aristotelian Typikon (ii); the next two subcategories of monotheism (b) would take another 400 years to emerge. The first to emerge was Islam (iii) in 1492, and Judaism (iv) in the 1800s. Islam (iii) would emerge from the ruins of Constantinople, after the holy wars of the Aristotelian Typikon from 1066 AD to 1492 AD. Judaism would have to wait much longer (almost another 400 years) - to emerge from the violent oppression of the Aristotelian Typikon. The violent oppression that tortured and killed all opponents. The Aristotelian Typikon would create the foundations of the modern world - the European world. It would also adopt much of the mechanisms of polytheism. It would be from the Aristotelian Typikon (ii) that all other Christian denominations would come. Subsequently, (and ironically) Atheism (2) would be emerge as a subdominion of the Aristotelian Typikon (ii). Dec. 3rd, 2007 - Two issues; 1) The shock of Greek Orthodox Bishops and 2) Humanism/Socialism as religion. First, much chatter was created when the Greek Orthodox bishops (under Bart) recently expressed a willingness to submit to the Pope and papal primacy. The truth, this arrangement had been made and documents sign long ago under the ecumenical patriarchate - and hidden until now. For those who insist that the Greek Orthodox under the Greek Archdioceses are Orthodox - your not! You are Greek/Hellenic Catholic under the Pope, and as with all Catholics you are now saved not by Christ, but by the Pope who calls himself the Vicar of Christ. This is the ecumenical message that nothing really matters - difference in morality between religions is non-consequential - insignificant. For example, Christ preached peace and peaceful martyrdom. The Catholics under Augustine and Aquinas preached just war - holy war. Just as Islam does and Judaism. These difference are ignored in the philosophy of the new ecumenism. Original ecumenism was under the Orthodox church prior to 1000 AD, currently we are witnessing a new or neo-ecumenism. The neo-ecumenism is bizarrely contradictory. It's a quasi reunification of Humanism/Socialism with it's birth rite of the Catholic church. Born from the Catholic church as Humanism, Secularism, Atheism and Socialism - it was essential a rejection of church authority. It declared that the church was not the supreme authority of truth, but science and nature was, and with man as the supreme evolution of nature - master over all nature. It replaced God as the supreme being with man. Religion was reduced to mere myth. Although, the Secularist (et al) rejected religion as myth, they came from the very institutions that were set up by the Pope to enforce the truth - church dogma. Further, they adopted the very authoritative structure rejected. A fundamental contradiction at the very birth. Further, the science they claimed as their base and ultimate truth was fundamentally disconnected from them. In otherwords, the authorities of the new school of thought were not the scientists. The scientists like Newton were theists - not atheists. There works were re-interpreted by the likes of Voltaire as atheistic. One of these atheist thinkers (intellectuals) Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) declared God dead, just as the very science they claimed as their base was to collapse. The result was that modern thought only lasted until 1945 and then died - being reborn as post-modernism. The change in science brought by Albert Einstein, was fundamental contradictory to what was declared as the absolute truth. The atomic bomb, the ultimate proof of Einstein's work (who also was a theist), killed the Humanism modern thought. Humanism was reborn as post-modernism with no and relative truth replacing absolute truth of modernism. In short - post-modernism which gave birth to socialism and global socialism became a religion in the very sense that was initial rejected. This no truth or relative truth of post-modernism, also became the core of neo-ecumenism, embraced by the Pope. Nov. 9th, 2007 - [American Humanist Association --- Humanism's rejection of the notions of sin and guilt, especially in relation to sexual ethics, puts it in harmony with contemporary sexology and sex education as well as aspects of humanistic psychology. And Humanism's historic advocacy of the secular state makes it another voice in the defense of church/state separation.---] According to this statement, rape is not a crime, because there is no sin or guilt! Without sin or guilt, there is no conscience, no morality, no feeling, no emotion. Psychopath (defined) A person with an antisocial personality disorder, manifested in aggressive, perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior without empathy or remorse. Notice the similarity? As well, remember the horrors in the news about school shotings and massicures? Notice that sexology, as sex education, (along with the whole amoral position) is being taught as unchallenged truth in schools. Now compare this with the all-encompassing message of the modern ecumenism. Nov. 2nd, 2007 - Recent research and discussions, has shown that as much as we think is known about the Christian House, the is much more that is not know. It has also come to light the shear volume of confusion surrounding the House, and the emergence of impostors - from within the House. Schisms from within the House produced new houses that looked (and use the name of) the House - but were fundamentally disconnected. As brief study of the Vatican (an impostor house) shows its birth from within the House and its emergence (divorce) from the House. The amazing (or more correctly - surprising) thing is just how far back the concept that finally caused the divorce, emerged within the House and specifically, within the Roman episcopate. This concept was of the imperial theology of the divine. It would eventually grow to change the fundamental nature and relationship with God. It imposed an authoritative structure (a divine bureaucracy) between man and God Almighty (no longer the Father). Further, by 1066 AD, they had formed God's army and secret service to punish the wicked. Building their armaments (cutlery) in the shape of a cross - they butchered people in God's name and (ironically) in the mercy of the Lord. This, in contrast, to the Christian martyrs who (peacefully) went to their death - like Christ. |
